There's literally an Android subsystem that runs on some Sony cameras (including mine) that someone's reverse engineered. It allows you to run basically any old Android app (with various degrees of usability), including launchers, which I thought was amusing.
Most useful though, is the ability to install a *free* timelapse app, since Sony has the gaul to charge like 8 quid for the timelapse functionality on an already expensive camera.
Word of Warning:
It appears that the more apps you install, the longer the camera will take to start up (both from cold boot, and without removing the battery).
